April 15 - Tri for Fun

Sunday's Teme Tri for Fun event was a surprising success. Brian, Jamie, Tom, Liz, Lindsey and Chris participated in the nearly 2 mile swim, 14 mile bike and 3.5 mile run (there was an optional eating event at Zza's as well). It was a hotly contested race with the pack remaining tight the whole way. In the end there was a six-way tie for "winner". Everyone agreed that this should be a somewhat regular happening and we encourage y'all to give it a tri.

March 17 - Intrasquad Meet and BBQ

meet We had a great turnout for our first annual spring intrasquad meet. Many of us swam timed events in a pool for the first time. We surprised ourselves in the individual events as much as we enjoyed ourselves in the relays. Following the swimming, we enjoyed a fabulous spread of potluck dishes and grilled items.

Here are the results:

Relay events

Thanks to everyone who participated and made this event so much fun. Extra thanks to those who helped in special ways, including planning, timing, and grilling. Very special thanks to Josh Burke, who started the meet and kept the pace brisk and steady, and to Vicki Bishop, who tirelessly shepherded the timers and recorded the times.

Look for photos from this event in the gallery.

GO TEME!
