Karin Hurley
Head Coach
Karin has been coaching Temescal Aquatic Masters since October 1998. She brings a swimmer's perspective to the job, having an impressive competitive swimming career of her own. At age 13 she qualified for Junior Nationals, at 16 Senior Nationals, and at 17 the Olympic Trials. A full athletic scholarship from the University of Pittsburgh allowed her to compete at the collegiate level. Karin's coaching experience includes stints with her local summer league team in Maryland and a USS club, the Oakland Barracudas, as well as giving private lessons. In addition to her expertise, Karin brings fun to the team, as do her husband Gerard, son Rhys, and daughter Áine.
